PhD student in Social History from the University of São Paulo and FAPESP scholarship holder. She prepares her thesis on "Assyrian Women and Trade Networks of the 20th and 19th centuries BCE". She is part of the USP Ancient Near East Laboratory.
CARLOS MACHADO
Historian and professor of Ancient History at the University of St Andrews (Scotland). His research is focused on the late antique period, especially in Rome and Italy. He is the author of the book Urban space and aristocratic power in late antique Rome, Oxford University Press (2019).
CRISTINA ROSILLO-LÓPEZ
Professor of Ancient History at Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Spain). She studies the political culture and the social and economic history of Ancient Rome. She is the author of the book Public Opinion and Politics in the Late Roman Republic, Cambridge University Press (2017).
Professor of Roman History at Aix-Marseille Université (France). He has published several works on the social and economic history of ancient Rome, Roman epigraphy, and popular culture. He is the author of the book La plèbe de Rome et sa culture, by École Française de Rome (2014).

Egyptologist and archaeologist, she is currently Deputy Director of the University of Vienna Middle Egypt Project. Since 2021, she is leading the research project “Representations and Reality of Poverty in ancient Egypt”, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), hosted at the University of Vienna.

Professor of Ancient History at the University of Ouro Preto. He studies the social and economic history of Rome, focusing on the theme of slavery. He is the author of Libertate opus est: escravidão, manumissão e cidadania à época de Nero, published by Editora Progressiva (2010), among other books.

Historian and professor at the Federal Fluminense Institute. He researches the Social, Political and Economic History of ancient Italy in the republican period. He is member of the Ciro Cardoso Center for Research on Pre-Capitalism.

She has a PhD in Social History from the University of São Paulo. She studies the processes of demonisation of religious adversaries in Roman Africa from the fourth to the fifth century AD.

Senior Lecturer in Roman History at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland). She studies the cultural history of the Roman world and, in particular, its popular culture. She is the editor and co-author of Popular Culture in the Ancient World, by Cambridge University Press (2017).

PhD in African History from Northwestern University and substitute professor at UFJF, he is the author of the book Quebrando o Silêncio: a longa história da escravidão no Baixo Congo, published by Editora Vozes (2024).
Graduated in History from USP, she is the author of the blog Leituras de uma Historiadora on Instagram. She researched the transformations in the forums of Lepcis Magna (North Africa) in Late Antiquity. She was editor of the Interviews section of the blog.

PEDRO PAULO FUNARI
Historian and archaeologist, he is Professor of Ancient History at Unicamp. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 books, among them Popular Culture in Classical Antiquity (Contexto, 1989) and Historical Archeology: Back from the Edge (Routledge, 1999).
RENATA SENNA GARRAFFONI
Professor of Ancient History at the Federal University of Paraná. She is interested in the Roman Empire and has studied the lives of the common people, the graffiti of Pompeii and the gladiatorial fights. She is the author of Gladiadores na Roma Antiga, by Annablume (2005).
THAIS ROCHA DA SILVA
Egyptologist (Oxon), postdoctoral fellow at the University of São Paulo, Research Fellow at Harris Manchester College (University of Oxford) and an archaeologist of the Amarna Project. She studies the homes and domestic space of the ancient Egyptians during the New Kingdom (c. 1550-1069 BC).
